DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton volleyball team dismissed Fordham in straight sets, 3-0 (25-16, 25-8, 25-13), Friday night at Frericks Center in the Flyers' Atlantic 10 home opener. The win extends Dayton's win streak to eight matches and the Flyers improve to 10-5 on the season and 3-0 in league action. Fordham falls to 7-12 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
STATS OF THE MATCH• Senior
Jenna Jendryk was swinging at a blistering .750 Friday night, recording six kills in eight attempts while also tallying four blocks. Senior
Alaina Turner led all attackers with a match-high 11 kills to go with four digs and two service aces.

Jill Loiars was also error free, connecting on eight kills for a .667 attack percentage and she also had four blocks in the match. Senior
Janna Krafka passed a match-high nine digs for the Flyers and sophomore
Jane Emmenecker set a match-high 22 assists.
• Freshman
Kendyll Brown was also strong at the net for UD, collecting four blocks while sophomore
Jessica Sloan served up three aces.
• Fordham was led by Natalie Martinez with eight kills and Breanna Jones with seven digs.
• For the match, Dayton out-hit Fordham, .465 to .123, and the Flyers had 9.5 team blocks to the Rams' 4.0.
SET-BY-SET• Set One: A kill from Turner capped a 4-1 start for the Flyers in the first set and the Dayton lead was six at 10-4 when Turner served up an ace. UD was leading by five again, 19-14, following an ace from Emmenecker and the Flyers used an 8-2 run to close out the first game on top, 25-16.
• Set Two: Krafka served up an ace to set the score at 5-1 in favor of the Flyers and Dayton pushed on to a 13-3, 10-point lead – a run that included three kills from senior
Jill Loiars. It was smooth sailing from there on out as UD cruised to a 25-8 second-set win.
• Set Three: Senior
Jenna Jendryk scored three of the Flyers' first four points of set three as UD jumped out to an 8-1 advantage. Fordham pulled to within four, 13-9, but Dayton rattled off four straight points to force a Ram timeout. FOR would only score four more points as UD took the third set, 25-13, and the match, 3-0.
