CINCINNATI – The University of Dayton volleyball team's winning streak stays alive as it gets past Xavier 3-2 (18-25, 16-25, 25-19, 27-25, 16-14) Wednesday night at Cintas Center. The Flyers have now won 14 consecutive matches on their way to a 16-5 overall mark. With the loss, Xavier falls to an even 10-10 on the season.
STATS OF THE MATCH• Sophomore
Amber Erhahon tallied a career-high 18 kills to lead all attackers. She hit at an incendiary .615 while also recording five blocks as well.
• Also with double-digit kills for the Flyers was senior
Jenna Jendryk with 13 and senior
Janna Krafka was the team's leading passer with 16 kills.

Angel Agu tallied a season-high six blocks and freshman
Margo Wolf got under 15 digs.
• Xavier was led by Sophia Peterson with 17 kills, one of four Musketeers with double-digit terminations. Meredith Klare had a match-high 20 digs.
• The kills were nearly even with Xavier recording 63 to Dayton's 59. The Musketeers out-hit the Flyers, .239 to .186.
SET-BY-SET• Set One: A kill from senior
Angel Agu gave Dayton an early 3-1 lead over Xavier to open the match but the Musketeers evened the set at three points apiece. A 6-0 spurt by XU gave Xavier the five-point, 14-9 advantage and the Musketeers were up six at 22-16. Xavier was able to hold on for the 25-18 win in set one.18-25
• Set Two: The score was tied four times in the early going of set two but Xavier got ahead, six, 11-5. Dayton scored three straight to cut into the lead, 17-12, but the Flyers trailed by eight at 20-12. UD was able to cut it to five but XU pushed ahead for the 25-16 second-set win.
• Set Three: A kill from Erhahon set the score at 5-3 in favor of Dayton and the Flyers were up 9-7 following a kill from Jendryk. Consecutive kills from Erhahon gave UD a 15-13 lead and Emmenecker recorded a kill to put Dayton up three, 18-15. The Flyers reached set point at 17 but the Musketeers were able to hold twice. UD took the frame on a XU service error, 25-19.
• Set Four: Dayton scored the first two points of set four but a 6-0 Xavier run gave the Musketeers an 8-4 advantage. XU was leading by five, 13-8, but UD was able to pull even at 14-14. The set was tied six more times before Xavier reached set point at 24-23. Dayton held three times but the Flyers were able to score the last three points of the game to take set four, 27-25.
• Set Five: A 3-0 run by the Flyers gave Dayton a 6-3 lead early in the fifth but Xavier knotted the score at seven points apiece. UD trailed XU by three, 11-8, but the Flyers pulled even on the strength of back-to-back blocks. An Erhahon-Loiars block set up match point for the Flyers at 14-13 but the Musketeers forced extra points. In the end, Dayton claimed a 16-14 win in the fifth set to take the match, 3-2.
UP NEXT• Dayton will play a single match at home this weekend as it plays host to Saint Louis on Saturday. First serve between the Flyers and Billikens is set for 1 p.m. at Frericks Center.
