DAYTON, Ohio - The 2015-16 season is officially underway for the University of Dayton women's basketball team as the squad participated in the first practice of the year on Sunday. The Flyers used their first three-hour practice session to run drills and work on technique.

Dayton returns three starters and the Atlantic 10 Sixth Woman of the Year from last season's NCAA Regional Finals team, a squad that posted a 28-7 overall mark and a 14-2 record in league action while advancing to the Elite Eight® for the first time in program history. The first chance for fans to see the 2015-16 Flyers will be on Saturday, Oct. 24 for the Red-Blue game at UD Arena.

On Friday, Nov. 6, Dayton will host its only exhibition game of the preseason against Gannon at 7 p.m. The regular season will kick off a week later with Dayton's annual School Day featuring Yale. Tip-off is set for 11 a.m.

The Flyers currently have six games scheduled to be broadcast on television and all other home games will be streamed lived via the Atlantic 10 Network.
