FAIRFAX, Va. – The University of Dayton men's soccer team scored two important second half goals to take a 3-1 victory from Duquesne Thursday night at George Mason Stadium in the Atlantic 10 Championship quarterfinals.
The Flyers improve to 11-5-3 on the season while Duquesne falls to 6-10-2 overall.

KEY STATS• In the first half, Dayton totaled 10 shots and put five on target while not allowing a single shot to Duquesne. Overall, the Flyers out-shot the Dukes 17-5 and put nine on goal.
• With the Flyers scoring their 47
th goal of the season in the first half, they set the single-season goal record in Dayton history. UD had scored 46 goals previously in 1975 and 2008.
• Sophomore goalkeeper
Oliver Hansen (3-1-1) had one save his first start since Oct. 14.

• This is the first time Dayton has advanced to the semifinals in the A-10 tournament since 2009, with the Flyers making it to the A-10 Championship game that year.
