ATHENS, Ohio – The University of Dayton (26-5) swept Ohio (25-7) by scores of 25-10, 25-18, 25-23 Friday night in the last non-conference, regular season match for both teams at the Convocation Center. The match pitted the Atlantic 10 Conference champions vs. the Mid-American Conference champions and both teams already qualified for the NCAA Championship with automatic berths.

Alaina Turner notched a match-high 23 kills on a .408 hitting percentage. Senior
Jill Loiars added 11 kills on a match-high .476 attack percentage.

Jane Emmenecker had a match-high 43 assists.

Janna Krafka passed a match-high 24 digs for the Flyers. Freshman
Margo Wolf added 14 digs.
• Ohio was led by Mallory Salis with 12 kills.
• Dayton out-hit OU, .312 to .081 for the match and the Flyers tallied 46 kills to the Bobcats' 32.

Set One: Dayton jumped out to a 7-0 lead to start the match with Turner and Erhahon combining for five kills in that run. The Flyers won the first set 25-10. Turner finished the set with eight kills on a .571 attack percentage. Emmenecker had 16 assists in the set.
Janna Krafka had 10 digs to lead the Flyers defensively. As a team, Dayton had a .536 attack percentage while OU's was just .028.

Set Two: UD held a 13-8 advantage in the second set, but the Bobcats bounced back and led 17-16. The Flyers went on a 6-0 run to take a 23-17 lead. Turner led Dayton with five kills and
Jill Loiars added four kills. Krafka had 11 digs.

Set Three: The third set was a battle as OU took an early 9-6 lead over the Flyers. Dayton fought back and gained a 13-12 lead on an attack error by the Bobcats. Ohio got within one point, 23-22, after a Jaime Kosiorek kill. The Dayton coaching staff called a timeout and two Turner kills gave the Flyers their last two points in the 25-23 win.
UP NEXTWith its 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship title, Dayton has earned an automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The selection show will take place Sunday, Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU.
