WOMEN'S SOCCER KNOCKED OUT OF A-10 CHAMPIONSHIP

Duquesne Advances on PKs 3-2

DAVIDSON, N.C.  – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (10-9-1) went to penalty kicks against Duquesne (10-9-1) in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship quarterfinal Thursday at Alumni Soccer Stadium. After 90 minutes of regulation and two, 10-minute overtime periods the score was knotted 1-1. The Flyers fell 3-2 on the PKs.

STATS OF THE MATCH
• Dayton outshot the Dukes 37-10.
• This marks the first time since 2006 that Dayton did not advance to the A-10 semifinals.
• Seniors Ashley Campbell and Nicole Waters both converted their PKs. 
• Freshman goalkeeper Kaelyn Johns saved the second penalty kick. The fourth Dukes' PK went over the net. Dayton's second and fourth PKs were saved by Perdomo.
• Goalkeeper Vanessa Perdomo had an A-10 Tournament single-match record 14 saves.

DAYTON GOAL
• 48th minute – Ashley Campbell scored her 17th goal of the season after the ball bounced around in the box on a Nicole Waters corner kick. Nicolette Griesinger was credited with the assist. (Dayton 1, Duquesne 1)

DUQUESNE GOAL
• 17th minute – Katie O'Connor scored unassisted. (Duquesne 1, Dayton 0)

• The Flyers' season ends at 10-9-1.
