GREEN BAY UPENDS #UDWBB, 68-52, IN NON-CONFERENCE FINALE

GREEN BAY, Wis. - In its last non-conference game of the season, Dayton women's basketball dropped a 68-52 decision at Green Bay Wednesday night at the Kress Events Center. The Flyers move to 7-4 on the season as the Phoenix improve to 10-2 overall.

GAME BREAKDOWN
• 1Q: Green Bay was on fire out of the gate scoring the first 11 points of the game but Dayton turned on the jets, scoring nine points while holding GB scoreless for just over four minutes. UD scored five points over the last 37 seconds of the frame to cut the GB lead to two, 19-17.
• 2Q: The Phoenix opened the second quarter with back-to-back baskets to push their lead to seven, 24-17. Freshman Ashleigh Parkinson hit back-to-back three-point baskets for Dayton but Green Bay ended the half with a nine-point advantage, 39-30.
• 3Q: With a three-point basket from Cannatelli to open the third frame, Dayton pulled to within six, 39-33. Green Bay went on to stretch its lead to as many as 14, 53-39, late in the third quarter after a long-range jumper from Buck.
• 4Q: Both teams were scoreless over the first two-plus minutes of the fourth quarter but the Phoenix struck first with a jumper by Kraker. A three-point basket from Parkinson with just under three minutes to play set the score at 64-49 but Green Bay would go on to claim a 68-52 win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
• Freshman Lauren Cannatelli led the Flyers with 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the floor to go with three assists.
• Freshman Ashleigh Parkinson also reached double-figures scoring with 10 points on the strength of 3-of-5 made three-point baskets.
• Sophomore JaVonna Layfield was the team's leading rebounder with eight boards and sophomore Jenna Burdette dished a game-high seven assists.
• Green Bay was led by Tesha Buck with a game-high 15 points and Jessica Lindstrom grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds.

KEY STATS
• Dayton was an uncharacteristic 4-for-16 from the line, making only 25 percent of its free-throw shots.
• Green Bay out-rebounded Dayton, 41-34, and scored 22 points off Flyer turnovers.
• Both teams' benches played a significant role in the game as the Phoenix got 27 points from non-starters while the Flyers had 20 points from the bench.

UP NEXT
Dayton will open Atlantic 10 Conference play in the new year with a trip to Duquesne on Sunday, Jan. 3. Tip-off at the Dukes' AJ Palumbo Center is set for 1 p.m.
