STATESBORO, Ga. – The University of Dayton softball team (4-5) closed out weekend play at the Eagle Classic with two wins against Bradley University (2-12) and Georgia Southern (2-11).

Kayla Haberstich pounded a double to left center, bringing in 2 RBI and tying the game at 2-2.
Senior
Tiffany Ricks singled to right field to start off the eighth inning.Â
Katelyn Gibson was hit by a pitch which advanced Ricks to second. Gibson then advanced to second on a wild pitch, advancing Ricks to third. Haberstich grounded out to second and Ricks scored. Dayton prevailed in game one over Bradley 3-2 in eight innings.
Tiffany Ricks had a solid game one for the Flyers going 2-for-4 at the plate.Â
Kayla Haberstich came in clutch for the Flyers going 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI.
Gabrielle Snyder (1-1) got the win for Dayton. She pitched a complete game striking out one, walking three, and giving up seven hits and two earned runs.

Natalie Mariano both singled, driving in runs.Â
Tiffany Ricks doubled to left field with an RBI. Ricks went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and a double. Mariano also went 2-for-4 against the Eagles.
A Georgia Southern home run pulled the Eagles within two runs of the Flyers in the bottom of the third, but it wasn't enough for the Eagles. Dayton defeated Georgia Southern 3-1 to end their weekend on a two game win streak.

Manda Cash (1-0) was credited with the win for the Flyers. She pitched a complete game with six strikeouts, giving up eight hits and one run.
The Flyers will return to action next weekend when they compete in the Purple and Gold Challenge held at Lipscomb University. They will face Drake, Central Michigan, Akron, and host Lipscomb. Â
