WASHINGTON, D.C. - Despite a late rally, the University of Dayton women's basketball team fell, 67-56, at No. 24/23 George Washington Sunday afternoon at GW's Smith Center. Senior Andrea Hoover led the Flyers with 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals. A three-point basket from Deane gave UD the 15-14 lead at 12:46 and the Flyers were up 17-14 with just under 12 left in the first frame. GW turned the tables, using a 17-2 run over the next six-and-a-half minutes to open the 31-19 advantage. The Flyers headed into the locker room down 10, 39-29, at the half.
