DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell to Xavier on Wednesday by a score of 0-7.
 
Despite their best efforts, the Flyers could not pull off any victories in singles or doubles play against the Musketeers yesterday afternoon.  
 
Women's Doubles vs. Xavier
1. Liggins/Ismail (XU) def. Marchant/Bridgham (UD) 8-1
2. Brinker/Ghidotti (XU) def. Kawamoto/Townsend (UD) 8-4
3. Peck/Shepherd (UD) vs. Patton/Oosterbaan (XU) went unfinished
 
Women's Singles vs. Xavier
1. Liggins (XU) def. Bridgham (UD) 6-1, 6-4
2. Brinker (XU) def. Townsend (UD) 6-1, 6-1
3. Ismail (XU) def. Kawamoto (UD) 6-2, 6-4
4. Ghidotti (XU) def. Peck (UD) 6-1, 6-3
5. Patton (XU) def. Marchant (UD) 6-0, 6-1
6. Oosterbaan (XU) def. Shepherd (UD) 7-6, 7-5
 
After Wednesday's match, Flyer women's tennis is 4-6 overall. Up next, UD's women's tennis team will take on Youngstown State on Saturday, March 21 at 4pm at the Five Seasons Tennis Complex.
