FLYERS RANKED 24TH NATIONALLY IN ATTENDANCE


DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's basketball team ranked 24th nationally in average attendance, averaging 12,718 fans at its 17 home contests in 2014-15 according to the NCAA.  Dayton moved up four spots after drawing an increase of 402 fans a game in 2014-15.

Other Notable Attendance Figures
• Highest ranking in attendance since the 2005-06 season when UD ranked 23rd. That season, Dayton averaged 12,423 fans per game.
• Rated in the Top 30 for 18 straight years.
• Dayton went 17-0 at home last season. It is only the fourth time in the program's history UD went undefeated at home. The other years are 1949-50, 1959-60 and 2008-09.
• Dayton will take a 22-game home winning streak into next year. It's currently the seventh-longest home winning streak in the NCAA.
• Since UD Arena opened in 1969, Dayton has been in the NCAA`s Top 35 in attendance every season.
• The Flyers led the Atlantic 10 in attendance for the 18th straight season as well.
• The 12,718 average attendance is the highest since the 2008-09 season. During the 2008-09 campaign, UD averaged 12,765 fans per game.
• Nearly 9 million fans have attended UD Arena in the last 46 seasons.

One of the key factors to Dayton's strong attendance figures is a robust and passionate season ticket holder base. The Flyers have averaged more than 10,000 season ticket holders the previous six seasons.
