FLYERS SEEK THEIR SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN AS UD HOSTS LA SALLE

FLYERS SEEK THEIR SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN AS UD HOSTS LA SALLE
The University of Dayton Flyers look for their sixth straight victory, hosting the La Salle Explorers on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.
The game will be carried by NBCSN and is available with live streaming video, audio and stats at DaytonFlyers.com.

ABOUT LA SALLE
The La Salle Explorers, 5-13 overall and 1-6 in the A-10, enter the contest on a five-game losing streak.
La Salle is led by Jordan Price, who in league play ranks seventh in scoring averaging 19.3 points per game.

SERIES STUFF
Dayton leads the all-time series 26-16.
The Flyers fell to the Explorers 61-57 at Tom Gola Arena on Jan. 9, 2016.
UD has won the last 14 home meetings and are 16-2 all-time against La Salle in Dayton.

JUBILANT JUNIORS
The junior class of Kyle Davis, Scoochie Smith and Kendall Pollard are on pace to be the winningest in UD history.
The trio has 70 victories in their first 93 games, two wins ahead of the pace of the Class
of 2011 (Chris Wright, Devin Searcy, Peter Zesterman and Logan Nourse).
The Class of 2011 finished with 97 wins.
Counting redshirt junior Charles Cooke, the juniors are also four of Dayton's top scorers: Cooke, 16.2 ppg; Pollard, 10.8 ppg, Smith, 10.4 ppg; and Davis, 8.1 ppg.

#TRENDING
Dayton is enjoying its best start in the Archie Miller era at 17-3 through the first 20 games.
Steve McElvene tied the single-game record with six rejections against Saint Louis. His 45 blocks are the 4th most all-time in a single-season at UD.
Charles Cooke has scored in double figures in 10 straight games, averaging 18.2 points and shooting .500 from three during that span.
Dyshawn Pierre trails Marcus Johnson for 26th on the all-time scoring list by 17 points.
In A-10 only games, Dayton possesses the league's best scoring defense (61.5 ppg).
Dayton has won nine consecutive contests when UD Arena is sold out. The La Salle game was announced as a sellout on Tuesday.

COOKE EARNS A-10 HONORS
Charles Cooke earned the Atlantic 10's Player of the Week on Jan. 25 after leading the Flyers to back-to-back road victories.
Cooke shot .727 from the field (16-of-22) and from 3-point range (8-of-11) in two games last week at St. Bonaventure and at Fordham.
He is Dayton's third A-10 weekly award winner this season. Steve McElvene and Ryan Mikesell were named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week earlier this year.

CONTROL THE GLASS
In Dayton's wins, the Flyers out-rebound opponents by 6.7 per contest.
In the losses, the Flyers' rebounding margin is negative 4.3.
UD is 13-1 this year when out-rebounding teams.

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
The Flyers have won 18 straight Atlantic 10 home games.
Dayton has won 33 of its last 34 home games.
UD had a 26-game home win streak snapped by Chattanooga in December. The streak was the second-longest in school history, behind the 30 straight victories from 2008-2010.
The Flyers finished 17-0 at home last season.
It was only the fourth time in the program's history UD went undefeated at home. The other years are 1949-50, 1959-60 and 2008-09.
UD is 67-13 at home under coach Archie Miller.

UP NEXT
Dayton heads back on the road to face the George Mason Patriots on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. ET.
