BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's tennis team downed Bowling Green 5-2 on Friday afternoon from the Perrysburg Tennis Center.
Dayton won the doubles point thanks to a 7-5 win from
Marlys Bridgham and
Mandy Marchant as well as a dominating 6-0 victory for
Jade Kawamoto and
Mattea Kilstofte.
BG took wins in the top two singles groups, but Dayton rallied with wins from Marchant, Kilstofte, Kawamoto, and
Jackie Kawamoto to secure the victory and push its record over the .500 mark.
UP NEXTThe Flyers return to action Saturday afternoon as part of a double-header with the men's team when they both play host IUPUI. The men's match begins at 1 p.m. with the women's match to follow.
