#UDMSOC TRAVELS TO ST. BONAVENTURE SATURDAY

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's soccer team will travel to Olean, N.Y. on Saturday to take on St. Bonaventure in Atlantic 10 action. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m. ET at Marra Athletics Complex.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton returns to conference play with a 5-6-2 record overall and a 1-1-1 record in league games. The Flyers currently sit seventh in the A-10 standings with a win over Fordham and a draw at UMass.

The Flyers are averaging 1.15 goals per game while allowing the same amount to opposing teams. UD is out-shooting opponents 14.2 to 12.2 and has a corner kick advantage.

UD is led by freshman Rok Taneski, who has four goals and five assists while leading the team in shots and shots on goal. Sophomore Kennedy Nwabia has added four goals and two assists as well. Freshman goalkeeper Federico Barrios has made seven starts in his debut season with three shutouts and a 0.54 goals against average.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
ST. BONAVENTURE

St. Bonaventure hosts Dayton Saturday with a 2-9-2 record on the season and a 1-2-1 A-10 mark. The Bonnies are 1-3-2 at home this year with the lone win coming against Niagara back on Sept. 18.

As a team, the Bonnies are scoring 0.62 goals each contest and giving up 1.92 goals to opponents. SBU is being out-shot 16.0 to 10.5 per game as well. Head coach Kwame Oduro is in his second season at the helm.

SBU is led by junior Kieran Toland's four goals in 13 games. Freshman Jacob Dyck has two goals as well. Sophomore goalkeeper Luke Iacobellis has a 2.11 goals against average and 51 saves in nine starts.

THE SERIES
Dayton and  St. Bonaventure have played 16 times before with the Flyers winning 11 of those contests. The last meeting took place on Oct. 27, 2013 with the Bonnies winning 1-0 at Baujan Field.

UD last traveled to Olean on Oct. 19, 2012 with the Flyers leaving on a 3-0 loss to SBU.

LAST OUTING
Dayton scored five goals in a big victory over Fort Wayne Tuesday. Bennett Lehner, Alvaro Navarro, Kennedy Nwabia, and Rok Taneski were on the scoresheet with the fifth being an own goal by FW.

St. Bonaventure suffered a 1-0 loss at Massachusetts Wednesday, its second of the A-10 season. The Minutemen scored in the 69th minute  to hand the Bonnies the defeat.

BARRIOS NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Freshman goalkeeper Federico Barrios was named A-10 Rookie of the Week on Oct. 3 after recording back-to-back shutouts for the Flyers. The Colombia native helped UD to a 1-0 over Liberty before playing all 110 minutes in a 0-0 draw with UMass.

A-10 HONORS
Dayton had a pair of student-athletes recognized by the Atlantic 10 on Sept. 6 with Lalas Abubakar being named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week and Rok Taneski being named A-10 Rookie of the Week. The two Flyers helped Dayton to wins over Saint Francis (3-0) and Belmont (2-1) that week.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Dayton was 6-2-1 at home in 2015, outscoring opponents 32-6 at Baujan Field. All time, the Flyers are 140-49-18 with a .720 winning percentage.

AMONGST THE BEST
UD ranks first in the A-10 in shots per game and second in total goals. Individually, Taneski leads the league in shots per game, total assists, and is second in goals. Nwabia is also tied for second in goals and ranks sixth in shots per game.

St. Bonaventure is first in the A-10 in saves per game. Individually, Luke Iacobellis leads the league in saves per game while Kieran Toland is second in goals.

UP NEXT
The Flyers will remain on the road in A-10 play to travel to La Salle on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest against the Explorers.
