MARIETTA, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's rowing team closed out the 2016 fall portion of its schedule at the Marietta Muskie Chase on the Muskingum River. The Chase featured a 6,000-meter race and three 500-meter sprints.

"Marietta is a great place to race. The weather was almost hot for a late fall race," said Head Coach Mike Wenker. "The Varsity 8+ lost their steering on the way to the line and borrowed a boat. The Varsity 4+ had a few good strokes. The novice boats led the way. We head inside onto the rowing machine for the next few weeks." 

The Novice 4+ boat of Sydney Foster (coxswain), Casey Becker (stroke), Erin Dwyer, Sonia Krolak, and Kelsey Harbert took third place in the 6k race. This same crew won all of its 500-meter sprint races.
