DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team will close out the regular season at home this weekend starting with a 7 p.m. match-up against Davidson Friday night. The Flyers have already clinched at least a share of the 2016 A-10 Regular Season title and will own the out-right title with a win Friday night.

About Dayton
Dayton (26-1, 12-0 A-10), currently ranked 23rd in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll, is enjoying the nation's third-longest winning streak at 15 matches. The Flyers are trying to record their  fourth perfect Atlantic 10 season by closing out the weekend with two wins. UD is led by junior Jessica Sloan with 3.85 kills/set (3rd A-10) and sophomore Kendyll Brown leads the league with a .430 hitting percentage (5th NCAA). The reigning A-10 Defensive Player of the Week sophomore Margo Wolf leads the conference with 5.25 digs/set (13th NCAA) and junior Amber Erhahon leads the Flyer block with 1.18 per set (5th A-10).

Scouting Davidson
Davidson (10-16, 5-7 A-10) closed out the home portion of its 2016 season with a 3-2 loss to VCU on Senior Day. Currently sixth in league standings, the Wildcats are battling this weekend to hold on to a A-10 Championship berth. Davidson is led by Kelly Friers with 2.49 kills/set and Elise Edman is the team's leading passer with 3.66 digs/set (7th A-10).

Series Stuff
Dayton holds the 4-0 advantage in the series against Davidson, including a 3-0 in Davidson, N.C., on Oct. 16.

RPI Rankings
In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) posted Monday, Nov. 7, Dayton came in at 32 according to NCAA.com. Davidson is ranked 234th.

• Tim Horsmon is in his eighth season overall, and third since 2007, as head coach of the Flyers in 2016. His record at Dayton is 211-56 and his career win-loss mark sits at 387-220 in 18 seasons as a head coach. Horsmon is the program's second-winningest coach behind only R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins 1970-79.
• Over the last eight seasons (2009-2016), the Flyers have recorded a 104-9 (.920) mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play, including a perfect 14-0 mark in 2015 and 2012 and a 15-0 record in 2010. UD suffered only one conference loss in 2014, 2011 and 2009.
• Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title 13 times (2016, 2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2001, 1998). • The Flyers finished the 2015 season with a 27-6 overall record and a 14-0 Atlantic 10 mark, finishing in first place in regular-season league play. 2015 was the program's 37th winning season.

Last Time Out
Junior Jessica Sloan was one of two Flyers with double-digit kills with a match-high in a 3-0 win at La Salle last Sunday. Sophomore Lauren Bruns the only other attacker in double-digits with 10 and junior Amber Erhahon added seven kills to go with her seven blocks. A duo of Flyers got under 15 digs each in junior Maggie Schutter and sophomore Margo Wolf.
