• Since 2003, UD has won three of the seven early season basketball tournaments it has played in.
• The Flyers won the 2011 Old Spice Classic after defeating Wake Forest, Fairfield and Minnesota.

• In 2008, the Flyers defeated No. 15 Marquette in the Chicago Invitational Challenge final.

• Dayton's Xeyrius Williams is enjoying his best stretch of basketball as a Flyer.
• After not scoring in double figures in his first 29 games, he's reached that plateau in back-to-back games at the Wooden Legacy.
• Williams recorded 15 points and nine rebounds versus Nebraska.
• He followed that up with a 14-point effort against Portland.
• In the Wooden Legacy, Williams is averaging 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 10 of 17 from the floor (.588) and 4 of 8 from beyond the arc.

• For the second straight season, the Flyers have been selected as the team to beat in the Atlantic 10, according to a poll of the conference's head men's basketball coaches and selected media.

• Scoochie Smith earned an All-Atlantic 10 Second-Team selection.
