Box Score HARMAR, Pa. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team rolled to victory over Duquesne University 6-1 to open up Atlantic 10 play on Friday morning from Alpha Tennis and Fitness of Pittsburgh.
For the second match in a row the Flyers swept through the doubles competition, giving UD five wins in seven doubles bouts.
Dayton continued its dominating stretch on the singles side, with
Jordan Benjamin winning at top singles 6-3, 6-3,
Carsten Fisher turning in a 7-5, 6-3 win at two,
Zach Berry beating his opponent 6-3, 6-1,
Simon Jayaram winning at five 6-4, 7-6, and
Lorenzo Rollhauser coming out on top 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
The win improves Dayton to 5-3 on the season and makes them 1-0 in conference play.
