Box Score DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team continued its modest three-match winning streak on Friday night, taking down regional opponent Tennessee State 5-2 at the Five Seasons Sports Park.
UD took all three doubles bouts in relatively simple fashion.
Carsten Fisher and
Zach Berry won at the top spot 6-1,
Jordan Benjamin and
Lorenzo Rollhauser took the second pairing by a 6-2 final, and
Kyle MacDonald and
Andy Druffel teamed up for a 6-3 win at number three.
On the singles side, the top three for Dayton took care of business, with Benjamin winning 6-2, 6-4, Fisher winning 7-6, 6-1, and Berry coming out on top 6-2, 6-3.
Graham Reinbold picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win playing in the six spot for the Flyers, picking up his first W of the season.
Dayton improves to 7-3 on the season with the win.
UP NEXTBefore hitting the road next weekend, the Flyers play host to a tough University of Toledo squad on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Five Seasons Sports Park.
