KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Dayton softball team went toe-to-toe with No. 14 Tennessee on Monday afternoon, falling 3-1 to the Volunteers at Lee Stadium.

Scoring Breakdown
Bottom 3rd - Tennessee broke open the scoring with a two-run triple to left-center field that scored two runners, giving the home team a 2-0 lead.
Bottom 3rd - A Flyers' error brought home the third run of the inning and gave the Volunteers a 3-0 advantage.
Top 6th - Dayton made things interesting when Katie Ryan launched a solo homer to left field to put the Flyers on the board, 3-1.

Key Stats
Manda Cash suffered another tough loss on the season, surrendering just two earned runs on three hits while striking out nine.

Gabrielle Snyder was once again a spark at the top of the order, reaching base three times and collecting two base hits.

Ryan's home run was the second of the season for the junior.
