DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's tennis team rebounded from a tough loss earlier in the week with a strong conference statement on Friday night, easing past Atlantic 10 foe Saint Joseph's 6-1 at the Five Seasons Sports Park.
Dayton got out in front early with a win in the doubles point.
Marlys Bridgham and
Mattea Kilstofte took a 7-5 victory at the No. 1 spot and
Mandy Marchant teamed with
Jade Kawamoto to win 6-1 at No. 3.
The Flyers continued their success on the singles side, as Bridgham, Kilstofte, Marchant and Kawamoto, as well as
Jackie Kawamoto, all took victories in their respective spots.
With the victory, UD reaches the 10-win plateau, passing their 2015 win total while still having eight matches left to play.
UP NEXTDayton returns to action on Friday, March 18 when they are set to play Green Bay at noon as well as Northern Kentucky at 7:00 p.m. Both matches are set to be played at the Five Seasons Sports Park.
