"The team is a little slower than we should be for late March.  That is in part because we started racing late," said Head Coach Mike Wenker. "Now we know where the boats stand and how much work is to be done over the next few weeks to reach the team's goals. The novice showed some fight.  I look forward to seeing what the novice 8+ can do in the next few weeks when everyone is healthy and at practices.   The second 8+/ got a race and Varsity 4+ rowed well.

"Marietta is a gracious host and a good opponent to start the season," Wenker added. "Duquesne is fast. We look forward to seeing them again at the end of the season.   We have a short week to prepare for the Cincinnati Regatta."
