WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton softball team stayed alive at the Atlantic 10 Softball Championship with a 2-1 victory over Saint Louis University on Saturday morning at the George Washington University Mount Vernon Athletic Complex.
With the win, UD advances to play No. 1 seed Fordham at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Top 3rd – A Dayton error set the stage for a two-out, RBI single for Saint Louis, giving the Billikins a 1-0 lead.

Katie Ryan drove home the go-ahead run with a single to right center field that scored fellow junior
Gabrielle Snyder and put UD ahead 2-1.

Manda Cash struck out 10 in a complete game effort, allowing just one unearned run on four hits.

Kyle Davidson had a two-hit performance, finishing the day 2-for-3 at the dish.
Dayton strung together seven hits in the game, the most they've had since its nine hit performance against Fordham on April 30th.
