DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team claimed a 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 25-16) over visiting Xavier Friday night at Frericks Center. With the win, Dayton improves to 5-0 on the season while Xavier falls to 2-2 overall. The Flyers will continue the Dayton Invitational Saturday with matches against the Northwestern Wildcats and Chattanooga Mocs.
STATS OF THE MATCH

Jessica Sloan led the Flyers with a career-high 17 kills to go with three blocks, three digs and three assists for the night.
• Three Flyers recorded nine kills on the night, including sophomore
Kendyll Brown who led the team with four blocks.

Jane Emmenecker was the team's leading setter with 38 assists and sophomore
Margo Wolf passed a match-high 19 digs.
• Xavier was led by Abbey Bessler with 17 kills and Alexis Newsome with nine blocks.
