DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team claimed a 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 25-16) over visiting Xavier Friday night at Frericks Center. With the win, Dayton improves to 5-0 on the season while Xavier falls to 2-2 overall. The Flyers will continue the Dayton Invitational Saturday with matches against the Northwestern Wildcats and Chattanooga Mocs.

STATS OF THE MATCH
• Junior Jessica Sloan led the Flyers with a career-high 17 kills to go with three blocks, three digs and three assists for the night.
• Three Flyers recorded nine kills on the night, including sophomore Kendyll Brown who led the team with four blocks.
• Junior Jane Emmenecker was the team's leading setter with 38 assists and sophomore Margo Wolf passed a match-high 19 digs.
• Xavier was led by Abbey Bessler with 17 kills and Alexis Newsome with nine blocks.

Tomorrow's schedule kicks off with a 10:30 a.m. match-up between Xavier and Chattanooga followed by Dayton's match against Northwestern at 1 p.m. All matches are played at Frericks Center and admission is free.
