DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team will welcome George Mason to Frericks Center on Friday for Atlantic 10 action. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Frericks Center and admission is free.

Dayton (15-6, 6-0 A-10) is currently enjoying a seven-match winning streak heading into Friday night's match against Atlantic 10 opponent George Mason. As a team, the Flyers lead the A-10 with a .240 hitting percentage, 12.38 assists/set, 13.54 kills/set and 15.08 digs/set. Also leading the league is Dayton senior Amber Erhahon with a .431 hitting percentage (9th NCAA), junior Lauren Bruns with 3.57 kills/set and junior Margo Wolf with 4.86 digs/set.

Scouting George Mason
George Mason (6-14, 2-5 A-10) split its A-10 matches last weekend at home after taking a straight-set win over Davidson before falling, 3-0, to VCU. Bailey Williams leads the team with 3.03 kills/set (9th A-10) to go along with 2.52 digs/set and Pihla Jarvenpaa is the team's leading blocker with 0.76 blocks/set. Emily Konchan ranks sixth in the A-10 with 7.84 assists/set for the Patriots.

Series Stuff
Dayton has won all seven of its meetings against George Mason in a series that started in Fairfax, Virginia, in 2001. The two last squared off on Sept. 25, 2016 in Dayton with the Flyers picking up a 3-1 win over the Patriots at Frericks Center.

RPI Rankings
In the most recent release of the NCAA Rating Percentage Index (RPI) of 2017 posted Monday, Oct. 15, Dayton came in at 55 according to NCAA.com. George Mason was ranked 260.

• Tim Horsmon is in his ninth season overall, and fourth since 2007, as head coach of the Flyers in 2017. His record at Dayton is 230-63 and his career win-loss mark sits at 406-227 in 19 seasons as a head coach. Horsmon is the program's second-winningest coach behind only R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins 1970-79.
• UD has won 42 consecutive regular-season Atlantic 10 Conference matches, a streak that dates back to a 3-2 loss at George Washington on Oct. 11, 2014 (the team's only conference loss that season).

Last Time Out
Saint Louis was in Dayton this past Friday in UD's only Atlantic 10 match of the week. The Billikens took the Flyers to extra points in the first set and picked up a 31-29 win before Dayton took the next three 15, 17 and 19. Senior Amber Erhahon led the team with 14 kills on her way to surpassing the 1,000-kill mark for her career. Erhahon also tallied seven blocks while junior Margo Wolf passed a match-high 20 digs for UD.
