DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team is kicking off a two-match road swing Friday with a match-up at Davidson. First serve between the Flyers and Wildcats is set for 7 p.m. at Davidson's Belk Arena.

Scouting Davidson
Davidson (9-13, 2-7 A-10) is coming off a 1-1 weekend at Rhode Island and Fordham, capping a four-match road stint. The Wildcats opened A-10 play with a 3-0 win over Fordham but went on to drop their next six contests. Davidson is led by Kelly Friers with 3.57 kills/set (1st A-10) and Mason Rooney with 5.54 assists/set and 0.39 aces/set. As a team, the Wildcats rank fifth in the Atlantic 10 with 14.41 digs/set and 1.93 blocks/set.
Series Stuff
Dayton and Davidson have previously met five times in the series between the two programs and the Flyers have tallied 3-0 wins in all five. The two last met on Nov. 11, 2016 in Dayton as then-junior
Jessica Sloan recorded a match-high 18 kills in the sweep.

In the most recent release of the NCAA Rating Percentage Index (RPI) of 2017 posted Monday, Oct. 23, Dayton came in at 54 according to NCAA.com. Davidson was ranked 259. Dayton has the Atlantic 10's second-best RPI, behind VCU at 51.

Last Time Out
Dayton wrapped a 2-0 weekend at home on Sunday with its 3-1 win over visiting George Washington at Frericks Center. Junior
Kendyll Brown led three Flyers in double-figures kills with 11 while swinging at .529 and she also tallied seven blocks. As a team, Dayton was nearly even with George Washington in kills 52-51 but the Flyers recorded 13.5 blocks to the Colonials' eight.
Weaver Named A-10 Player of the Week 10/23
Sophomore outside hitter
Mackenzie Weaver averaged 3.29 kills/set to lead Dayton to two wins last weekend in conference play. She recorded a career-high 13 kills to go with four digs, two blocks and one assist in a 3-0 win over George Mason on Friday. In Sunday's win over George Washington, Weaver tallied 10 kills and was working on a double-double with eight digs to go with four blocks and one assist. For the weekend, she hit at .327, scored 4.00 points/set and tallied 0.86 blocks/set.

Amber Erhahon has a very efficient swing, currently ranking 13th in all of NCAA DI and first in the A-10 with a .424 hitting percentage this season. For her career, Erhahon's .407 hitting percentage (1,027-225-1,969) ranks number one all-time in the Flyers' record book (min. 300 kills) and ranks third nationally among active career leaders.
Moving Up the Ranks
Senior
Jane Emmenecker moved into third place last season all-time among Dayton's setters and currently has 4,409 career assists (seventh among NCAA active career leaders). The three-time Atlantic 10 Setter of the Year continues to move up the ranks this season and is just 208 assists behind 2005 A-10 Setter of the Year Nicole Schott (4,617). For the season, Emmenecker is second in the A-10 with 9.45 assists/set.

2016 A-10 Libero of the Year junior
Margo Wolf is working her way into the top five all-time career dig leaders in Dayton history. She currently has 1,238 digs over her three-year career as a Flyer, just 191 digs behind fifth-place Cathy Wojciechowski (1,429 - 1990-93). For the season, Wolf leads the Atlantic 10 with 4.84 digs/set.
Hit Me One More Time
Dayton's front court has two very formidable middle blockers in senior
Amber Erhahon (1.23 blocks/set, 4th A-10) and junior
Kendyll Brown (0.95 blocks/set). What is unique about this duo of blockers is that they are both very accurate on the attack as well. Erhahon hits at a league-best .424 which ranks 13th nationally while Brown swings at .373 (3rd A-10).
