DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's basketball team defeated Morgan State, 88-52, in their first home game of the season Friday night at UD Arena.

The Flyers remain undefeated with a 3-0 record while the Lady Bears fall to 2-2

GAME BREAKDOWN
1st Quarter: Dayton 21, Morgan State 14

• Flyers started the game on a 12-4 run with senior Jenna Burdette providing six of the 12 points.
• Morgan State started the game 1-for-11 from the field.
• Dayton led 21-14 at the end of the first quarter.
• Six Flyers scored in the first quarter and Jenna Burdette led the way with 10 points.

2nd Quarter: Dayton 44, Morgan State 33

• Dayton led 44-33 at the half and were up by as many as 14 in the first 20 minutes.
• The Flyers outscored the Bears in the paint (12-8), on the fast break (12-7), and off the bench (13-8).
• Burdette had 12 points to lead the way while senior JaVonna Layfield had 11 points and six rebounds.
• Dayton shot 50 percent from the field while Morgan State shot 27.8 percent.

3rd Quarter: Dayton 69, Morgan State 38

• The Flyers opened the second half on a 10-0 run.
• Dayton was 9-of-13 from the field in the quarter to give them a 69-38 lead.
• At the end of the third, four Flyers were in double figures in Burdette, Layfield, junior Maddy Dennis, and junior Lauren Cannatelli.
• UD increased its shooting percentage to 56.4 in the contest.
• The Flyers bench outscored the Lady Bears' 30-8 up to this point.  
• Dayton held Morgan State to just five points in the third quarter.

4th Quarter: Dayton 88, Morgan State 52

• Dayton shot 50.0 percent from the field in the fourth quarter. 
• The Flyers pushed past the 80-point mark for the first time this season.
• UD hit 7-of-12 free throws down the stretch while giving up just 2-of-4 to MSU.

• Dayton scored 32 points in the paint to Morgan State's 12. 
• The Flyers had 40 total rebounds compared to the Lady Bears' 35.
• Dayton led for more than 38 minutes of the game.
