DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's basketball team defeated Virginia, 61-46, in a big matchup Sunday Afternoon at UD Arena.

- Dayton reestablished its nine-point lead after Virginia cut the lead to five early in the quarter with jumpers by Scaife and Cannatelli.
- The Flyers extended their lead to 11 with a jumper by senior Javonna Layfield.
- Virginia was held to its lowest point-total this season with only 46 points.
