DAYTON BEGINS THE NCAA TOURNAMENT VERSUS WICHITA STATE
  • The University of Dayton Flyers will face the No. 19 Wichita State Shockers in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 17 at 7:10 p.m. ET.
  • The game will be televised on CBS, carried by WHIO Radio and is available with live video, stats and streaming audio at DaytonFlyers.com.

ABOUT WICHITA STATE
  • The Shockers, 30-4 overall, reached the 30-win mark for the fourth time in five years and enter postseason play on a 15-game winning streak.
  • Three Shockers are scoring in double figures led by Markis McDuffie (11.8 ppg). Landry Shamet (11.1 ppg) and Darral Willis Jr. (10.2 ppg) add to the attack.

SERIES HISTORY
  • Dayton leads the all-time series 2-0.
  • The last meeting between the two programs came when the Flyers defeated Wichita State, 79-71, in the NIT First Round on March, 15, 1962.

  • Dayton has won five NCAA Tournament games in the past three years, one of 18 schools to accomplish that feat.
  • This is the first time the Flyers have made the NCAA Tournament in four straight seasons.
