CARY, N.C. – The University of Dayton dropped its final game of the three-game weekend, losing 11-2 to Maryland on Sunday afternoon at the USA Baseball Training Complex in Cary, N.C.

- Maryland jumped on the board early, plating three runs in the first and never looking back.

SCORING BREAKDOWN
Top 1st
- Maryland broke open the scoring with five hits in the first inning that, when the dust had settled, gave the Terps a 3-0 lead.

Bottom 2nd 
- Dayton got its first run when Maverick Prine walked, stole second, and scored on a throwing error by the catcher, making the score 3-1.

Top 4th
- The Terrapins made it 4-1 after a leadoff walk came around to score to push the lead ahead by another run.

Top 5th 
- Maryland doubled its score with four runs on five hits, putting the Terps up 8-1.

Bottom 5th
- UD came back to plate a run thanks to Matt Poland, who doubled to start the frame, moved to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a groundout to make it 8-2.

Top 7th 
- The Terps started the frame with back-to-back doubles to plate one, then added another on an RBI single to put Maryland ahead 10-2.

Top 9th 
- Maryland's final run was of the unearned variety that brought the game to its final score of 11-2.
