DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team split its mid-week doubleheader Wednesday with Eastern Kentucky. Dayton won the first contest, 6-5, and Eastern Kentucky picked up the game-two win 8-0 (5). Both games were played at UD Softball Stadium.
Dayton is now 20-18 overall while Eastern Kentucky moves to 16-23 on the season.

Dayton will hit the road to play three at La Salle over the weekend. The Flyers will be in Philadelphia Friday and Saturday at the Explorers' West Campus Softball Field. Friday's single game is set to begin at 3 p.m. followed by a Saturday doubleheader kicking off at 12 p.m.
