PHILADELPHIA - The University of Dayton softball team outlasted La Salle, 2-1, Friday afternoon in the first game of this weekend's Atlantic 10 three-game set. Sophomore
Lisa Tassi was the only player (on either team) to record more than one hit on the afternoon.
Dayton improves to 21-18 overall and 8-4 in A-10 play while La Salle falls to 14-17 on the season and 4-6 in league action.

Katie Ryan collected a RBI with a single up the middle as Snyder made it across home plate.

La Salle was able to get one run in with a solo shot over the left field fence but would muster no more offense on the day.

The Flyers and Explorers will close out their series tomorrow with a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. Saturday at La Salle's West Campus Field.
