PHILADELPHIA - The University of Dayton softball team completed a series sweep of Atlantic 10 foe La Salle Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia. The Flyers downed the Explorers 5-0 and 12-3, moving Dayton into third place in A-10 standings behind Saint Joseph's and Massachusetts.
Dayton improves to 23-18 on the season and 10-4 in league action while La Salle falls to 14-19 overall and 4-8 in conference play.

Gabrielle Snyder became Dayton's new all-time career hits leader. After today's games, Snyder now has 200 career hits.
