DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team won the first game of the Rhode Island series in dramatic fashion before falling in game two, despite a late rally.
Dayton moved to 25-20 overall on the season and 11-5 in Atlantic 10 play. Rhode Island moved to 7-30 on the year and 4-12 in conference games.
