FAIRFAX, Va. – The University of Dayton rowing team competed Sunday, helping the Atlantic 10 to a second place conference finish at the Mason Invite.
Â
In Fairfax Station, the Flyers teamed with George Washington and George Mason to form an A-10 squad that took on the Big 12 (Kansas, West Virginia, Old Dominion) and the CAA (Delaware, Eastern Michigan, Buffalo).
Â
The Big 12 claimed the scoring title (52) while the A-10 placed second (30). The CAA came in third with 26 points.
Â
Each boat showed us a little something new this weekend that we hadn't seen in them this season. Things are moving in the right direction with only the conference championships left," said UD novice coach
Emilie Gross. "We've got work to do but are excited to have two weeks to prepare."
