WASHINGTON, D.C. - The University of Dayton women's rowing team competed at the 2017 George Washington Invitational this weekend. The Flyers competed in five races: 2V8+ and V8+ crews competed in two races and the V4+ raced once. 

In their second races, the Flyer 2V8+ and V8+ took second place.

"The course was running very fast today," said Emilie Gross, UD novice coach. "The first races got the better of us and we performed below our expectations. We had to regroup between races, which proved to help, as our afternoon races were much more in our control."

Dayton will be back in action Saturday, April 22 in Pittsburgh vs. West Virginia and Duquesne.
