DAYTON - University of Dayton softball sophomore Lisa Tassi's walk-off single propelled the Flyers to a 3-2 win over the visiting Massachusetts Minutewomen Sunday in both teams' regular season finale. With the win, Dayton claimed the 2-1 series win over UMass.

Dayton closes out the 2017 regular season with a 29-25 overall mark and a 13-10 mark in Atlantic 10 conference action. Massachusetts is now 26-22 on the year and 13-6 in league play.

KEY MOMENT
With two outs and runners on second third, Tassi's single to right plated the tying run but the Massachusetts right fielder misplayed the ball allowing the winning run to scurry home.

92 - with three doubles on the day, Dayton set a new program record for team single-season doubles
3 - senior Gabrielle Snyder was 3-for-4 at the plate today with one run scored
2 - Tassi tallied two hits and two RBI while senior Katie Ryan scored two runs

Dayton has earned a spot in the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship to be held next week in Fairfax, Virginia, host by George Mason. The Flyers will find out their seed and first-round opponent later today once all games have been completed.
