DAYTON - University of Dayton softball sophomore
Lisa Tassi's walk-off single propelled the Flyers to a 3-2 win over the visiting Massachusetts Minutewomen Sunday in both teams' regular season finale. With the win, Dayton claimed the 2-1 series win over UMass.
Dayton closes out the 2017 regular season with a 29-25 overall mark and a 13-10 mark in Atlantic 10 conference action. Massachusetts is now 26-22 on the year and 13-6 in league play.
KEY MOMENT
With two outs and runners on second third, Tassi's single to right plated the tying run but the Massachusetts right fielder misplayed the ball allowing the winning run to scurry home.
