DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's soccer team earned a 3-0 win over Saint Francis (0-3-0) Sunday at Baujan Field in its home opener in front of 785 fans. 

KEY MOMENTS
• Three Flyers scored: senior Sidney LeRoy in the 19th minute putting a way her own free kick on a rebound, junior Sara Robertson headed in a long chip from LeRoy in the 26th minute and senior Alexis Kiehl finished the scoring for UD with a penalty kick in the 85th minute. 
• Junior goalkeeper Kaelyn Johns picked up her first shutout of the season. 
• The Flyers (1-2-0) outshot Saint Francis 16-10, including 12-1 in the first half. 
• This marked the first win for Eric Golz as head coach of the Dayton women's soccer program.

• It was a great day for our team. A great day for the program. It was a great day for our staff to play in front of our fans at Baujan Field. We saw some significant improvement from the first week to the second week. The team has continued to train very hard and continued to invest in their growth and development and I think we saw a lot of progress today. We're happy with the result for sure but know there is a lot of growth yet to come. It was great to see us bring some energy. It was great to play in front of our home fans. I think they helped us bring some energy. We had a number of individuals who stepped up and had some quality performances today: Sidney LeRoy had an impact on the game, Lex got her first goal of the season and KJ in net for the shutout for the season.
