#UDMSOC Falls Late At West Virginia Saturday

A Goal With 30 Seconds Left Gave Dayton The Loss

MORGANTOWN, W. Va.  – The University of Dayton men's soccer team went on the road to face a talented West Virginia squad Saturday and gave up a goal in the final minute to suffer the loss.

The Flyers (3-5-2) hung with the Mountaineers (6-1-2) throughout the game, but was unable to hold on on the road.

  • Dayton outshot West Virginia in the loss, 10-9, and put three on target. The Mountaineers lone attempt on target was their goal.
  • WVU committed 12 fouls in the game compared to Dayton's nine.
  • Sophomore Rok Taneski led the Flyers in shots with four.
  • Redshirt junior Nick Hagenkord and senior Alvaro Navarro had two shots each.
  • This was the fist regular season meeting ever between the two teams.
