About Dayton
Dayton (9-6) opened Atlantic 10 Conference play with a 3-0 win at Saint Louis last Friday in the team's only match of the week. Prior to that, Dayton dropped back-to-back decisions to Western Kentucky and Ohio State (both of which are receiving votes in the AVCA Top 25 poll). The Flyers are led by junior 
Lauren Bruns with 3.75 kills/set (1st A-10) and senior 
Amber Erhahon with a .429 hitting percentage (14th NCAA) and 1.14 blocks/set (4th A-10). Also at the top of league rankings is senior 
Jane Emmenecker who averages 10.10 assists/set.
Scouting Duquesne
Duquesne (7-9, 2-0 A-10) has opened conference action with consecutive wins over George Mason and George Washington at home. The Dukes suffered through a five-match losing streak earlier this season before defeating Evansville, 3-2, on Sept. 16. Duquesne was picked fifth in the A-10 preseason poll and its roster features current Co-Player of the Week Abbie Trzeciak, the Dukes team leader with a .251 hitting percentage. Also for Duquesne, Maria Mosbacher leads the team with 3.47 kills/set (5th A-10) and Camryn Vecera is the team's leading passer with 4.60 digs/set (2nd A-10).
Series Stuff
In 45 all-time meetings between Dayton and Duquesne, the Flyers have been the victors 41 times. The pair first squared off in 1990 and most recently matched up in Pittsburgh on Nov. 4, 2016. Dayton has won five-consecutive match-ups against Duquesne by the margin of 3-1.
RPI Rankings
In the final NCAA Rating Percentage Index (RPI) of 2016 posted Monday, Nov. 28, Dayton came in at 33 according to NCAA.com. Duquesne was ranked 176 at the end of last season. 2017's first RPI ranking will be released by the NCAA on Oct. 2.

Tim Horsmon is in his ninth season overall, and fourth since 2007, as head coach of the Flyers in 2017. His record at Dayton is 224-63 and his career win-loss mark sits at 400-227 in 19 seasons as a head coach. Horsmon is the program's second-winningest coach behind only R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins 1970-79.
• UD has won 39 consecutive regular-season Atlantic 10 Conference matches, a streak that dates back to a 3-2 loss at George Washington on Oct. 11, 2014 (the team's only conference loss that season).
• Over the last eight seasons (2009-2016), the Flyers have recorded a 107-9 (.922) mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play, including a perfect 14-0 mark in 2016, 2015 and 2012 and a 15-0 record in 2010. UD suffered only one conference loss in 2014, 2011 and 2009.

In its only match of the week, Dayton opened Atlantic 10 Conference action Friday at Saint Louis with a straight-set sweep of the Billikens. Junior 
Lauren Bruns led the Flyers with 11 kills while swinging at .435 and senior
