DAYTON - The University of Dayton hosts the Saint Louis University Billikens Sunday, Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. at UD Arena. The game will be Faith and Family Day while also being televised on ESPNU.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
The Flyers head into the weekend with an 11-4 record overall, a 4-0 Atlantic 10 mark, and a five game winning streak. Dayton is also 6-1 at home this season.
Head coach
Shauna Green is in her second season at the helm of the Flyers after going 22-10 in her first campaign last year. The WBCA National Rookie Coach of the Year returns an experienced squad with three seniors, six juniors, and three starters.
As a team, Dayton is scoring 74.9 points per game while holding opponents to 60.2 points each outing. The Flyers are shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from three-point range, and 70.9 percent from the free throw line. UD also has a positive turnover and rebound advantage.

Jayla Scaife, who is averaging 15.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Senior
Jenna Burdette is contributing 14.3 points and 3.7 assists each outing while fellow senior
JaVonna Layfield averages a double-double with 11.1 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis comes off a eight day break, last playing on Jan. 6. The Billikens are 8-8 overall this year and 2-1 in A-10 games. SLU is 2-5 away from home this season with a road win at Richmond on Jan. 3 being its lone away victory since Nov. 24. Head coach Lisa Stone is in her 32nd season as a collegiate coach and was the 2016 A-10 Coach of the Year.
The Billikens lead the A-10 in assists, assists per game, assist-to-turnover ratio, and field goal percentage. SLU is scoring 70.2 points and giving up just 66.5 to opposing teams. The Billikens also shoot 43.9 percent overall, 32.7 percent behind the arc, and 71.8 percent from the charity stripe.
Leading the Billikens is National Player of the Year candidate Jackie Kemph, who has 13.6 points per game and leads the conference with 7.4 assists per game. Maddison Gits is chipping in 10.9 points and a team-high 8.5 rebounds each contest.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton won its fifth game in a row with an 80-59 victory at home over St. Bonaventure Wednesday. The Flyers scored 31 points in the second quarter alone while
JaVonna Layfield was just two assists shy of a triple-double.
Saint Louis suffered their first conference loss, falling at Fordham, 66-63 last Saturday. Paige Rakers scored a career-high 22 points, but it wasn't enough as the Rams outrebounded and used an early lead to defeat the Billikens.
THE SERIES
The Flyers and Billikens have met 36 times previously with Dayton winning the majority of the meetings, picking up 28 victories compared to Saint Louis' eight wins. The two teams squared off three times last year with the Flyers winning all three, including the A-10 Semifinal match-up in Richmond, 75-65.
