Box Score UPDATED DRAW

The ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships continued on Friday and Dayton men's tennis had four different players pick up wins in singles action.
 
Steven Karl and Jordan Benjamin both opened the day for the Flyers at 9:30 a.m. with matches in the main draw. Benjamin won the opening set against Niklas Gerdes (Chattanooga), but Gerdes bounced back to win each of the next two sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-4, respectively, to take the match and advance. Karl drew top-seeded Timo Stodder (Tennessee) in the round of 64 and fell by a score of 6-2, 6-3 to last year's regional championship runner-up.

Despite setbacks in the main draw, the Flyers enjoyed a strong day in the backdraw of the singles tournament on Friday. Joe DeMarco, Langford Hills and Spencer Richey all won their match in straight sets, while Will Harper picked up a three-set victory over Fabian Penzkofer (Kentucky) by a score of 6-4, 1-6, 10-8.
