SAN DIEGO – In a battle that went right down to the final minute, the University of Dayton Flyers had a comeback fall just short, with San Diego edging UD 36-34.

The Flyers scored a pair of touchdowns in the final 7:42, but the potential game-tying two-point conversion was batted away.  The Toreros recovered the ensuing onside kick, and San Diego quarterback Anthony Lawrence was able to get two first downs, one on a busted play and another on a swing pass on fourth-and-two to run out the clock.
