DAYTON  – The University of Dayton men's soccer team came back from a 1-0 deficit to earn a hard-fought 2-1 double overtime win at Massachusetts Saturday.
The Flyers (6-5-4, 2-3-1 A-10) scored the game winner in the 110
th minute handing the Minutemen (6-8-2, 2-5-0 A-10) the home loss.
KEY STATS
- Sophomore Jacob Degler scored the game winning goal in the 110th minute with a shot off the defender and in.
- Freshman defender Elias Harryson scored the first goal of his Dayton career to tie things up in the 71st minute.
- Both of Dayton's goals were unassisted.
- Goalkeeper Jack Steele made his first career start and recorded six saves in 110 minutes of play.
- Junior Rok Taneski had a team-high three shots while Degler put both of his shots on target.
- UMass outshot UD 18-13.
- Fouls were 21 for Dayton and 17 for UMass.
