Caroline Mink Scored For The Flyers

DAYTON – University of Dayton women's soccer dropped an Atlantic 10 conference fixture 3-1 to league-leading Saint Louis tonight at Baujan Field.  

Dayton falls to 5-6-2 overall and 1-3-1 in Atlantic 10 action. The Billikens, ranked No. 6 in the United Soccer Coaches East Region, are now 10-3-1 overall and 5-0-0 in the conference.

KEY STATS
• Saint Louis dominated in the shots category, 11-2.
• The Billkens also led in corner kicks 6-2.

KEY MOMENTS
• Saint Louis scored early in the sixth minute, after UD couldn't clear the ball on a free kick.
• Caroline Mink became the 10th Flyer to score this season. She scored on a header in the 20th minute to equalize the match off assists from Micayla Livingston and Keagin Collie.
• The Billikens took a 2-1 lead into halftime, scoring on a header in the 35th minute on a cornerkick.
• The last SLU goal was scored in the 79th minute after a tackle by the Billikens. Then, in the run of play, a shot by Annabelle Copeland bounced off UD keeper Kaelyn Johns, and Maddie Pokorny was there to follow up and put away the goal.

• The Flyers hit the road to take on Davidson (2-10-0, 0-5-0 A-10) Sunday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. at Alumni Soccer Stadium. 

NEXT HOME MATCH
• The Flyers will host defending A-10 champions La Salle on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field. Admission is free. The Flyers will be wearing their breast cancer awareness pink jerseys, which will be up for auction until 9 p.m.
• A PATH event on mental health will be held prior to the match in Collins Gym at 6 p.m.
