DAYTONÂ - The University of Dayton women's basketball team defeated Toledo on Thanksgiving Even, 70-49 at UD Arena.

Dayton (2-2) gets back on the winning track while Toledo (2-2) suffered its second loss of the season.
KEY MOMENT
2nd quarter – 7:22 – After being tied 18-18 at that point, Dayton went on a run and pushed their lead to double digits with 57 seconds left in the half.

1st Quarter: Dayton  14, Toledo 13
- Toledo jumped out to a 2-0 lead before a Jayla Scaife three gave the Flyers their first lead of the game at the 8:11 mark.
- Dayton then went cold over the next three minutes, going 0-for-5 from the floor as Toledo took a 7-4 lead.
- The Flyers answered with a 6-0 run of their own, forcing a Toledo timeout at the 4:06 mark. The Rockets faced a three minute drought during that span as well.
- UD ended the first with a narrow one-point lead.
- Senior Lauren Cannatelli led Dayton with eight points on 3-of-5 shooting including two three's.
2nd Quarter: Dayton 31, Toledo 20
- The pace of the game slowed down in the early stages of the second quarter with the defenses starting to settle in.
- Scaife hit a three at the 6:37 mark to put Dayton ahead 21-18, forcing Toledo to take its second timeout of the game.
- The Rockets suffered from a six-plus minute scoring drought midway through the quarter including turnovers on consecutive possessions.
- Dayton took its biggest lead of the game up that point with 1:44 to go on a Cannatelli three, giving the Flyers a 26-18 lead.
- The Flyers used a 10-0 run to extend its advantage further down the stretch.
- Toledo was held without a field goal over the last 7:22 of the second quarter.
- Cannatelli had a team-high 11 points while Scaife had 10 points and redshirt sophomore Araion Bradshaw had seven assists.
- Three pointers were 7-to-1 in favor of the Flyers.
3rd Quarter: Dayton 48, Toledo 31
- Dayton added to its lead to start the third, going ahead by 16 points at the 6:59 mark.
- Cannatelli hit two more big three's to lead the charge.
- By the media timeout, Dayton was ahead 39-26.
- Toledo had to take another timeout with 1:43 to play in the quarter after Dayton held them 0-for-5 and without a field goal for 4:54.
- Dayton held a 17-point lead going into the final quarter.
4th Quarter: Dayton 70, Toledo 49
- The Flyers kept the lead around the 17-point mark in the first few minutes of the fourth.
- By the media break, Dayton led 52-35 with the team's trading field goals back and forth.
- Toledo closed the gap though and cut it to a 12-point difference, forcing Dayton to take a timeout with 6:07 to play in regulation.
- The Rockets' starting point guard fouled out with five minutes still to go in the game.
- Dayton pushed the lead to 20 at 66-46 with under two minutes to play.
