#UDWBB Wins 16th Straight Over George Mason, 71-66

The Flyers Remain Unbeaten In Conference Play and Win Their 16th Straight

DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's basketball team won its 16th in a row and stayed unbeaten in the Atlantic 10 with a 71-66 victory over George Mason Wednesday night.

The Flyers now hold an overall record of 22-4 and 15-0 in the Atlantic 10. The Patriots fall to 21-8 overall and 10-5 in the Atlantic 10.

KEY MOMENT
4th quarter – Redshirt senior Alex Harris scored a layup off Jayla Scaife's missed free throw with 1:35 left in the game. The put-back gave Dayton its largest lead of the quarter for a score of 65-59.

1ST QUARTER: Dayton 23, George Mason 17
  • Junior Lauren Cannatelli scored six of the Flyers first eight points in the first two minutes of play to give Dayton a lead of 8-4.
