#UDBASE Drops Game Two Of Series To USC Upstate

Rubber Match Will Be Tomorrow At 1 P.M.

The University of Dayton baseball team dropped game two of its three-game series by a score of 8-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Flyers now have an overall record of 6-12, while USC Upstate goes back above .500 with a 12-11-1 record.

KEY MOMENT
Dayton entered the sixth inning trailing 5-0, but Pat Meehan and Brandon Smith both hit singles to reach, while Mitchell Garrity drew a walk to load the bases for the Flyers with no outs. Dayton was unable to take advantage of the runners on base and were kept off the scoreboard.

Toran Shahidi hit a leadoff double and was driven home off a two-out single into left field by Kyle Gensler. USC Upstate 1, Dayton 0

Following a triple to open the bottom half of the eighth by Russel Schwertfeger, Austin Morgan hit a single to center field for his second RBI of the day. Morgan would go on to score off a wild pitch later in the inning. USC Upstate 8, Dayton 0
