SCORING BREAKDOWN
Game One: George Mason 6, Dayton 0
The game was scoreless through the first three innings but George Mason got its offense going in the fourth, scoring three runs on three hits to set the score at 3-0 in favor of the Patriots. Dayton got a runner in scoring position in the fifth but was unable to convert and Mason followed by plating two more in the bottom of the frame. Junior Kyle Davidson led off the sixth with a single for the Flyers and moved to second when junior Lisa Tassi was walked but nothing was doing for UD as the Patriots got out of the frame with no damage. Mason scored one more in the sixth for what proved to be the final score of 6-0.
Winning pitcher: Ansbro (9-8) – complete game, 11 strikeouts
Losing pitcher: Jessica Weaver (5-8)

Game Two: George Mason 2, Dayton 0
Game two started in similar fashion as neither team was able to score through the first four frames, despite Dayton getting a runner to third base in the top of the fourth. The first two Patriot batters got on the fifth inning and the bases were loaded with a one-out walk. Mason was able to take advantage of a Flyer throwing error to score two runs as the subsequent batter made it around to second base. GMU held the 2-0 lead through the end of the contest to take the nightcap.
Winning pitcher: Gordon (10-10); Save: Ansbro (3)
Losing pitcher: Cash (12-7)
