DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team picked up an Atlantic 10 win over La Salle, 5-2, Saturday at UD Softball Stadium. Freshman
Abby Ehrenborg's three-run homer in the fifth proved to be the winning runs.
Dayton improves to 14-19 on the season and 5-4 in league play while La Salle moves to 9-17 for the year and 2-4 in conference action.

Kyle Davidson led off the first inning with a walk, stole second and was singled in by senior
Kailee Budicin to score the game's first run. La Salle got on the scoreboard in the third with two solo home runs to take a 2-1 lead. The score remained the same through the bottom of the fifth when the Flyers put together a two-out, four-run rally to get in front of the Explorers, 5-2. Junior
Kayla Haberstich reached on a La Salle error and moved to second when Budicin was walked. Junior
Lisa Tassi singled up the middle, scoring Davidson to tie the game at 2-2, and putting runners on first and second. Ehrenborg sent her team-best fifth home run down the left field line and over the fence to give UD its winning three-run margin.

Dayton will wrap up its three-game series with La Salle on Sunday with a doubleheader at UD Softball Stadium. First pitch is set for 11 a.m. and the first game will be televised on Spectrum Sports Channel beginning at 12 p.m. After the second game, #UDSB will be celebrating Kids Day with free food, bitmoji trading cards and post-game autographs for kids eighth grade and under.
